Cell Phone Service

After buying a cell phone from virtually any shopping mall, you, an English teacher in Korea can buy service by bringing either your alien registration card or passport to a service provider outlet. There is no start up fee; however, as an English teacher in Korea, you should buy a prepaid phone card. It costs approximately 60 won per 10 seconds for domestic calls.

For monthly service you must apply through a Korean representative. You will pay a start up fee (55,000 won) and receive a monthly billing statement.
