Dress Code Standards for ESL Teachers that Teach in Korea

There are no real set dress code standards for ESL teachers that teach in Korea. Throughout the Korean peninsula each school has its own requirements. To be safe, when you teach in Korea you should dress conservatively. Remember to take off your shoes before entering someone’s house. All apartments have a landing in the entryway where guests remove their shoes before stepping into the living area. Taking off your shoes is a sign of respect to the owner of the house and a practical way to keep the floors clean.
